Good news! In order for polyolefin plastics to be recycled in an economically viable manner, a few requirements must be met. One of these is that the closure must be of the same type as the bottle body and accordingly form a combination of PP/PP or PE/PE. In addition, it must be a mono-material that is light in color. And – last but not least – the bottle must be drainable.
